I don't own a Sony Playstation 3 (I'm a PC Fanboy), but I actually like this console the most out of the rest of them. I've tried it for just one day at a friend's house and it was stunning. The games load very fast because of the PS3's fast processor and memory. Your games are put on Blu-Ray disk so you can expect a game having just one disk and having high quality video as well. You can also store your data on the 40 - 60 GB memory.
The PS3 features very awesome online gameplay. You can hook up your headset and talk to others online. That's the only way to talk since there is no other method of chat. If you get annoyed by all the people talking (I bet you will) you can just mute them. It's that easy!
The controller is wireless and is charged by hooking it up to your PS3 via USB. The controller is able to vibrate which is pretty cool when you've crashed into something or are being shot at.
Being a PC gamer, I found it hard to adjust to the controls, but that's not an issue if you're already a console gamer, and if you're not a console gamer it shouldn't take to long to adjust. I already got the basic controls down for Call of Duty 4 (Awesome game by the way) in about two hours. You can adjust the controller as well with what button does what. There are even options for individuals that are left handed.
The sound is marvelous, I had no issues with it at all.
There were no glitches found by me.
There were a few disconnects over the Internet, but either than that it was all good, especially because the internet is free unlike the XBOX 360.
The Sony Playstation 3 is something that everyone would be able to enjoy. There are many games out there for you to play and rent such as RPG's (Role Playing Games) and FPS (First Person Shooters)
The device is a tad on the expensive side, but it's well worth the money.
I recommend this console to everyone that is currently looking for a console to buy or a device to play games on.
You can also trust that the Playstation 3 will keep running, because it's made by Sony. You can always depend on Sony.
I would recommend using the Sony Playstation 3 on an HD TV or any other type of "new" TV. Not a tube TV. Though you can still play, but you'll get 100% out of the console if you use a good TV.
