I've had my recorder for several years now and am very satisfied with the ease of use and functionality of the unit. I have used it to make personal and business memos while driving down the road with the use of the hands free voice activation feature (just be sure to have the music turned of in the background). Power is supplied with two AA batteries. It has an ear phone jack for private play back. The microphone is very sensitive and even though I haven't used it in a classroom setting I can say thatit can pick up sounds from across a good sized room with relative ease. There are five buttons for pause, cue-review, record,play and stop. Also there is also a volume control, a jack for a DC 3v power cable and a slide selector for two tape speeds. The micro cassettes are economical and you can carry several spares.
