The MD has proven to be an excellent portable medium for your MP3, WMA, RA or any music files you can think of. And this is where products like the Sony MDS-PC2 come in. The Sony MDS-PC2 is the virtual utopia of MiniDisc control. Not only does it allow you a digital copy of your CDs, MP3s and other formats, it will title your MDs, which proves to come in handy. The Sony MDS-PC2's recording quality is excellent, as it can record from 2 optical sources, and has a 20-bit A/D (analog to digital) converter. The unit also has a sample rate converter to make sure everything is coming in at 44.1kHz no matter what your computer is outputting at (32, 48kHz). The unit can be used as a normal home stereo component with the included remote. Sony also has attached an optical output to plug-in to your digital receiver, which works extremely well. If you are a hard-core MD fan, and want a great titling/recording package, go for it! "MD Editor 2" PC link software CD ROM is also included.
