The Sony KV-20S42 is a 20-inch color TV that has an MTS decoder for true stereo sound. It features a Trinitron picture tube with a fine-pitch Aperture Grill. Although this set doesn't have a comb filter, it displays 270 lines of resolution. This model includes a Dynamic Picture Processor that constantly adjusts brightness and contrast to present very pleasing pictures. Overall, image quality was very good. The KV-20S42 features twin bottom-mounted front-firing speakers rated at 3 watts per channel. Sound quality was better than average when compared to other sets in this category. This set features one A/V input and one variable audio output. Front A/V inputs are also included to attach a camcorder or video game console. A front-mounted headphone jack allows for private listening. Convenience features include a sleep timer and bilingual (English and Spanish) on-screen menus and displays. This model also includes parental control with the new V-Chip that will lock out specific programs based on TV ratings displayed at the beginning of each program. This set also features Auto Clock Set, Clear Still/Slow/Frame Advance, 2X Fast Play, Quick Timer Recording, crystal clear special effects and a standard remote.
