I wanted to get a new TV for my bedroom, and wanted something that would be good for a long time. So I saved up and bought the Sony KDL046V4100. I bought it for two reasons. One, I trust Sony electronics. Two, I got a really good deal on Ebay. I ended up paying 1300 for it brand new.
Upon setting the TV up in my room, I fired it up and the first show I watched on it was the movie Road Trip. I was impressed by the clarity of the picture and by the fact that I wasn't seeing any glares from the sunlight poking through my window. After figuring out all the controls, settings, and extras, I cranked up the volume. I then found out I didn't need to put speakers in my room. The stock speakers on this TV were pretty nice. They were loud, clear, and had decent bass. That was all I needed out of a bedroom TV.
I watched Blu Ray movies on this TV and am completely satisfied. The remote that comes with the TV is not very nice, so a new remote down the line is a very good idea. Overall, this TV is worth what they charge for it and I have had no problems in the 2 months I have owned it.
