This is my 50" bundle of joy. The Sony Grand Wega is a rear projection HDTV with 3LCD panels giving it a bright picture with natural colors showing every detail.
I've owned this television for about a year now and I continuously find new and exciting capabilities. Everyone is always talking about having a Tv with HD, but this model goes a step further with HDMI which gives it the ability to match the sound and the high definition. So not only do you get extreme clarity it has the Dolby Digital with TruSurround for audio effects, a must have for the action or sports buffs in the house.
Recently we tried the PC Connectivity, allowing us to hook a friends computer to the Tv using it as a monitor. All I can say is "WOW" and No glasses or contacts needed.
Before purchasing this Sony we looked at so so many different brands whether online or in-store and one feature that aided us in our decision is the Easy Operation Guide, which allows you to navigate to your Tv functions such as the different video sources, multiple sleep timers, personal settings and initial setup.
Of course I can't fail to mention the picture in picture feature, this by far is the greatest it allows you to watch 2 different channels and swap them during commercials or highlights. You can move the smaller box around the screen for better personal viewing, and it gives you the choice of changing either of the channels without the other being affected.
Last but definately not least for those of you in the GREEN society this Tv is Energy Star compliant and no trees were harmed in typing this review...
