Advantages: Easy to use, Touch screen, 40Xzoom, Good video quality.
Disadvantages: Its little bit slow on discs.

I have personally used Sony's camcorder in my company to make some real time videos. The greatest advantage to use this Handycam over other complicated Handycams is its ease of use I mean its damn easy to operate and follow its functions. Some of the features that I should list are: 1. 40x optical zoom over 2000x digital zoom 2. Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, I dint know what that stands for but it gives you the best quality 3. 2.7-inch wide touch ...

Quick review of Sony Handycam DCR DVD610
Review of Sony Handycam DCR DVD610 by gabyperu

The touch screen is very easy to use and easy to learn, the video quality is very good, colors come out looking fine. The optics are excellent, the digital zoom is excellent (though, as cautioned in the manual, at higher zoom levels you lose picture quality), and the camera itself is very solid. About the only complaint I have with it is that if the mini-DVD you're using is not Sony-branded, it has a little nag screen that last for a second, but disappears without any user interaction I would advise buying a larger battery as well as the small sony battery charger.
