Okay...Just another fun thing to have. Our "Home Theater" consists of Wide screen TV, Direct TV DVR, Xbox 360, Magnovox DVD player, an RCA VCR and this Sony HT. We have had this since we moved into this house a year and a half ago.
I can't believe how awesome this sound system is. With four little speakers strategically placed around the living room, it is absolutely incredible! It's just like sitting in a movie theater!
My son uses it for his Xbox which makes the games he plays come to life. Movies and TV shows are all the more inviting to watch. My dog even barks at different things she hears when this system is on. Doorbells, knocking on doors, certain things that are said and different voices that come over the airwaves.
The system was installed by my son in law. We recently changed the living room around to accomodate a new coffee table we got as well as the light coming in the skylights. It was quick and easy moving the TV and all the gadgets including this sound system. The speakers are wired and hung up on the walls with their wires being long enough to tack around baseboards and wall frames.
The remote, although it's one of four that we have for our home theater, is easy to use. Basically it's an on-off deal for me. Since it belongs to my son in law, I don't mess with anything other than turning it off and on.
There is another medium to small sized speaker that is on top of the TV. Then there is the bigger speaker box , the sub-woofer, that just kind of sits to the side of the TV. That's the only down side of this system...the big box. I learned it is the sub woofer! (whoofer?)
