...Having recently been eligible for a free phone upgrade through my network provider, I opted for the Sony Ericsson W910i walkman mobile phone. I have owned several Sony Ericsson phones over the past few years, and have become quite a big fan of their phones. My tariff is reasonably low, so I wasn't eligible for a top of the range model without having to pay something towards it, so the W910i seemed the better choice of an average range of free phones I was offered. ...I upgraded my phone back in December last year. I am usually a Nokia girl but I really wanted a Walkman phone so decided to go for the Sony Ericsson W910i. Basically I wish I had stuck to my trusty Nokia. During the first month or two of having the phone it was great and I didn't have any problems with it at all. However after about 4 months I was unable to send/receive or even open my text messages. After speaking to Vodafone they told me that it is a common problem with the phones software and I had to download an update to my phone. Thankfully this did solve the text message issue, but upgrading the software causes the phone to reset, so I ended up losing all the saved text messages and any phone numbers that were stored on the phone rather than the Sim card.
