Advantages Big screen for gaming Disadvantages Battery only lasts 3 hours
...This notebook is sony's best on the market and it deserves to be!
It comes with a standard intel inside pentium3 and either a dvd/cd rom drive and sometimes with cd-rw drive but this may cost a bit extra. 14.1 TFT screen make the vaio look stylish and superior to any other model. With the new pentium 3 it makes the vaio x29 mobile and versitile. Sony have even added a new cooler flap system so that the processor will last longer and perform better. The keyboard may be on the small side but don't let it put you off because there is an added feature which sony have added for the user when the there is poor light. Sony have made the keys reflective so they glow when the light becomes poor.
Even with all of these amazing components inside sony have still managed to keep the weight down, it only weight 3kg which is extremely light...

Advantages Very Easy to use Disadvantages Still photo quality very average
...problem, it may be something to bare in mind if replacing an existing camcorder and a central viewfinder is your preferred choice.
The side LCD panel is where all the settings for the camcorder are made. The menu features on the camera are well laid out and very easy to become familiar with. The various features are selected by means of touch control on the LCD panel. My only criticism here is that the actual touch control can be a little fiddly to operate and does take some getting used to.
For transferring your recorded material, Sony have provided a handy little dockingstation. This I have found to be particularly useful as it allows you to permanently leave all the transfer cables connected whilst still leaving the actual camcorder free to use. The mains and USB lead plugs into a base station which the camera simply sits on top...

Advantages All your music stored on a hard disk drive. DAB radio. iPod dock Disadvantages Won't transfer files to iPod. User manual very poor.
...On the face of it an of-its-time product for the Mp3 user - 80 Gb Hard Disk Drive which can be connected to your PC network, wired or wirelessly, so you can transfer all your ripped CD's & other mp3 tracks to it. Excellent idea! It will also rip CD's to its HDD and has DAB/FM/AM radio included, from which recordings can be made to the HDD. Brilliant! Not only that but it will also act as a music server to other Sony audio receivers/slaves in other rooms that allows each room to have the same or different music playing. Terrific! IPod dockingstation included. Fantastic! The HDD software will link wirelessly to the Gracenote database via the internet (if you have wireless broadband) and will populate your library with missing track data etc. Superb!
The basic unit is £500 and the receiver's around £250 but all can be found for less...
