This DVD player is very, very nice. It seems to do miracles every day. Because, let me tell you a story. I have kids and I have DVD's. Let's just say that the two groups have some incompatibility issues. DVD's don't like to be touched in certain places and kids have to touch where they are told not to touch. It's a very touchy situation. Plus, DVD's really hate scratches. So, my old DVD player (may it rest in peace) would whine and cry at the first sign of smudge and would totally go catonic if a scratch ever occurred. Well, we had a falling out and, to make a long story short, NS55P/B is now living with me. And she can take anything. Smudges? Cake! Scratches? Might as well not exist. Cracked? (Well, she ain't perfect). She seems to have some difficulty with ground in dirt, but what woman doesn't?
