This DHR-1000 Video Recording Deck from Sony offers over 500 lines of horizontal resolution, 3x analog bandwidth, and significantly higher S/N ratio, to provide stunning video performance. Component Video Recording dramatically improves color rendition and accuracy while reducing color 'smear'. PCM Digital Stereo Audio offers a choice of either: two 12 bit stereo tracks, for near CD sound quality, or one 16 bit stereo track for DAT quality recording. The DHR-1000 provides 180 Minutes Recording on 'standard' DV-180 cassette or 60 minutes on 'mini' DV-60 cassette. Digital Comb Filter separates Y/C for cleaner, sharper, more detailed images. Time Base Correction is featured for jitter-free video performance. Crystal Clear freeze frame and variable slow motion (fwd & rvs) playback give you greater flexibility in editing your tapes. Other editing features include: DV Interface In/Out that provides multiple generation dubs with virtually no loss in quality; 10 Segment Assemble Editor that's enhanced by Edit Window feature providing 'playback' window, and 'thumbnails' of all cut-in/cut-out points for easy review of 'cuts'; Removable Edit Tray with Jog/Shuttle Dial detaches from the deck for convenient placement; and Camcorder Control that controls camcorder or deck from DHR-1000 Edit Tray controller. The built-in MTS Stereo Tuner receives stereo broadcasts. Cassette Mechanism is compatible with both 'mini' and 'standard' DV cassettes, without the need for any adaptors. Cassette Memory can display data pertaining to 'search mode' on monitor screen. 3 Search modes: by index, date, or photo are included. VCR Plus+ System makes setting VCR Timer quick, easy, and convenient. Sony's Cable Mouse remote repeater allows for unattended recordings of CATV or DSS broadcasts. Auto Clock Set from date and time data found in broadcast TV (where available).
