Advantages: 13.6 megapixel resolution for amazing photo shots + cybershot Disadvantages: Quite expensive in the market of compact cameras.
This cybershot camera has to be the best camera I have ever used. Its beautiful, neat appearence and durability of its titanium casing makes it brilliant for general use, yet it has the specification of a professional camera.
The camera is capable of taking picture in 13.6 megapixel clarity which is so clear that it can be displayed easily on a large HD TV perfectly. Its shutter quality is also extremely high and with its anti-blur and steady shot ... ...fast moving objects such as cars!
The camera is also perfect for portrait shots as the smile shutter and the face detection work really well.
The camera is digital making it very easy to print your photos from you PC, but viewing the picture on the camera can be equally satisfying on the 2.7" screen.
I think this camera is amazing and is worth all of the money if you can afford to splash out some cash on a seriously awesome piece of technology. ...

...not to me. Sony Cybershot DSC W300 also have a extra-high speed mode that can take 5 pictures in one second (at the cost of 3 megapixel resolution each). In my opinion, it's the best thing after it's 13.6mp resoluion. Even if you don't need it to take pictures of fast moving things, it's fun to watch the camera take pictures so fast. I love doing that , just using the function and watch the images zoom by. Batteries are pretty long-lasting in this ... ...high speed mode uses battery pretty quickly - but i've never held any experiements. Normally, batteries lasts for a few days with around 30 minutes usage each day. Final thing - it's price : a smashing $300 . It wasn't something that concerned me (I practically get all my electronics free from my uncle's company), but it might and I'm pretty sure it will, concern some people. But for people looking at digital cameras - you probably already have around ...

Manufacturer's product description
The W300 camera newly features an ``extra high-speed'' burst mode that can shoot three-megapixel photos at five frames per second, ideal for fast-action shooting of sports, pets or children. In addition to the blur-reducing effects of Super SteadyShot® optical image stabilization, the camera also has a new ``extra high sensitivity'' mode (up to ISO 6400 in this mode only) to help minimize blurry photos when shooting in challenging lighting conditions, such as indoors or at twilight, even without a flash. Noise reduction is now a user-selectable option, with high, low and standard settings, for greater control over the final look of images. For example, a low setting can help reduce noise without sacrificing resolution, making it ideal for landscapes and detailed subjects.
