I was given one of these adapters, several years ago for a Christmas gift. Since I am one of the few left that have remained loyal to the cassettes, I appreciated the gift. I have really enjoyed having this and it has came in useful on many occasions. For about five years, my husband drove a big truck and he wasn't home much. I was trying to figure out what I could do that would help him feel "not so seperated" from our first daughter and allow him a chance to hear her sounds and babblings. She was just around one year old and my husband couldn't be there when she said something, or made her funny noises. So I would record her "talking" on a cassette and he would listen to the tapes while he was gone from home.
Which leads me to the reason I like this product.
This recorder/player is perfect in that it takes batteries, or can be plugged up. This will provide the user with the versatility to put this in different areas while recording. Sometimes chords get in the way .
With me, and in recording my daughter, I could insert batteries, turn on the recording feature and place it in my daughters crib, without any worries of the cord or electricity hurting her. Its reclapsable handle was also good.
This recorder and cassette player has all the buttons needed to, rewind, forward wind, pause, and record. The pause button is very useful when going back through your recording and trying to edit or change something.
I have used mine over and over and it is one of those " worth your while " products.
