Group names might be ROCK, CLASSICAL, KEVIN or DAD and a single disc can belong to more than one group. Custom File Disc Memo lets you assign a 13-character name for up to 400 discs. Names are displayed on the front panel and rapidly flash by in Memo Scan as the disc tray turns. Custom File Track Memo lets you assign a 13-character name to tracks on your discs, so you'll always know exactly what's available and what's playing. Custom File Delete Bank remembers to skip the songs you find boring for up to 400 discs. It can be switched off for playback of complete discs. CD Text allows for automatic display of disc and track names with a new generation of compatible CDs. Front panel jog dial rotates through the 200 discs and also rotates through the alphabet for storing disc, track and Group File names. Pulse D/A converter minimizes zero-cross distortion, considered by researchers to be the most audible distortion in CD players. The result is remarkably smooth, open sound - even during delicate quiet passages. 8x oversampling digital filter is included for better stereo imaging and greater accuracy. Hybrid converter design places the digital filter and D/A converter on a single IC chip for shorter signal paths. Direct Digital Sync circuitry minimizes the time-base errors called "jitter" for cleaner, more transparent musical frequencies.
