Sony's ZS-X7 is one of the Sony's newer and feature-packed "Sports" boomboxes. Actually, it's not a "box" at all; its unorthodox shape looks more like a surfboard (although it's not intended to be used as a flotation device). Rugged Splash-Resistant Design of high-impact plastic is intended for outdoor fun, with rubber gaskets, bushings, and waterproof seals that help keep out water, moisture, and dirt, plus an easy-carry handle and built-in stand. Built-in CD Player with ESP uses advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology to provide longer skip-free playback in more active uses. Digital Synthesized AM/FM Stereo Tuner offers accurate drift-free tuning of AM and FM stereo radio stations and lets you choose from the wide variety of talk shows and music programming available, with the added enjoyment of stereo sound. Sony includes a power adapter for connection to a cigarette lighter in your car or boat. Shoulder Strap for Easy Carrying makes it a cinch to sling this Sports Boombox over your shoulder and carry it hands-free. Unique built-in Stand with Angle Adjustment lets you position the boombox securely and most conveniently on just about any surface, and also direct the sound to your preference. Enhanced Clock/Timer Function (Countdown Timer, Sleep Timer, Wake to CD/Tuner) displays current time and is useful for timing your activities and keeping you on schedule. Sleep Timer with variable settings lets you fall asleep or wake to compact disc or radio. You can use electronic settings for one button tuning of your choice of 10 favorite AM and 10 FM stations. 4 Pattern Electronic Sound Mode (Rock/Pop/Live/Vocal) is selected when EQ appears on the LCD display, allowing you to select an appropriate sound adjustment setting for listening to various different types of music.
