Excellent entry level Digital SLR
Review of Nikon D40x by  klashar

Advantages: Excellent pictures, light, very easy to use, professional features
Disadvantages: Limited use of lenses, no anti-shake (VR) built in

.... Weather sealing, so you can't take it out into the rain. 4. A monochrome LCD status screen on the top of the camera. Most bigger cameras have these. Personally, I like the LCD on the back. 5. Lots of auto-focus areas in the viewer. The Nikon D40x has three, bigger cameras have more (see above). 6. Light metering in the body. The Nikon D40x needs certain lenses to handle the light metering. (see below). 7. A huge catalogue of compatible lenses. If you want auto-focus and light-metering, you have a limited range of lenses from Nikon and from Sigma (see below). 8. Hard buttons to alter lots of different settings. Bigger cameras will have dedicated buttons to alter things like white balance and ISO. 11. Conclusion I think you can tell that I like the Nikon D40x. It is wonderfully usable, takes great pictures, lets you do all... Read review

sigma lense
Review of Sigma 70-300mm CAF by blondie21 taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages great macro feature
Disadvantages a little bulky

...sigma, 70-300mm, f4-5.6, dl macro super, auto focus, for the pentax. i purchased this product from jessops, and have found this to be a great piece of kit, i find it very useful for macro, as it has a setting solely for this, and i find it great for all other photography. i find this lense very good as it is also good for the beginner photographer, as this is what i am and i only use auto focus lenses for ease. this lense is a must have for the dedicated photographer, i have found it useful for so much of my photography, and in my opinion, i would recommend it if you are not sure. it is great value for money so yes a must have lense.... BUPA's purchase of Sigma -Allied Dunbar Polices
Review of Zurich Insurance Company by mrsbrocolliuk taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages good cover
Disadvantages expensive

...Bupa have bought Allied Dunbar policies but unlike Sigma and Zurich who ran the as a seperate line of business BUPA will insist on changing to their own policies. I cannot get BUPA or Zurich to confirm what the terms will be until 6 weeks before renewal date. If health insurance is becoming more and more neceassary then the least I should expect is to be able to continue with a (very expensive) policy with little change to the T's and C's. After being with them for 14years this is not very customer friendly. So, beware - make sure you know exactly what you are buying into. Be absolutely sure you have details of future viability of the company and that you know what cover is necessary for you personnally.... Read review

Wicked campers!
Review of Vango Sigma 400+ Dome Tent by Imperial-Scorpion taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Quick, Simple
Disadvantages Pegs got bent on first use, no fitted groundsheets in porch areas!

...Vango Sigma Mallard & Mercury dome tent, ideal tent for a family it has two entrances which made siting easier and gave some privacy for the kids when they were desperate in the night. It takes around ten minutes to erect and probably twenty to get back down, folding into such a small bag seems to take forever. It is colour coded and double seamed and looks very smart when erected. The only downfall was the porch linings are separate and when it rained seemed to let the rain trickle in and the tent pegs bent the first time they were used, these could have been stronger. It had four pockets inside though for the torches etc and the kids loved it because they could get straight through. A great tent in a storm as the centre had a fitted groundsheet.... Read review
