...This samsung e234 DVD player has all you would expect from a current model. i fouund the DVD player very easy to set up and the manual straight forward to use, unlike my previous dvd player. The only slight draw back was i feel te sound quality lacks the sharpness which I found on my previous sony player. The remote control was again simple and well layed out including all fetures which are standard including zoom, playback, slow motion. Picture quality was about the same as my sony system which is a slihtly more expensive model. To conclude I have found the samsung e234 dvd player good value for money but i believe there are better players on the market but at this price you may struggle to find one... Read review

...This a great looking machine with lots of features. Supports downloaded Divx / Xvid video and AC3 / MP3 formats, as well as normal DVDs with both Dolby Digital and DTS audio, though you do have to thurn DTS on via the menu. (Some product sepecifications incorrectly state this an a non-DTS player) Upscaling to 870p is a perfect fit with my 870p Samsung HDTV, giving a really sharp picture, though will work on any TV with a SCART input. Has simple, intuitive menus and an easy to use, fully-functioned remote control. Switches easily between screen sizes and definitions on DVD playback. A great range of outputs means that it can be used with almost any system, and works great via optical link to my Yamaha home cinema amplifier. On the down side, it can be picky when it comes to codecs. DivX 5.11 or 6 seem to work every time, though.... Read review

...My new widescreen TV is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Myself and my girlfriend decided to get a new widescreen TV after we bought a JVC home DVD cinema as we were not getting the full monty from my old television and this new TV practically takes its undies off and throws them on top of the audience. With it's flat screen it offers glare free viewing at all times of the day and its easy to follow instructions for all of the settings allow even my girlfriend to use the TV to it's full potential via the simple remote control probably designed not to scare off technophobes. The Picture quality is razor sharp although it is not a 100Mhz model.
