The D44U series gives consumers an affordable home theater option that does not compromise Sharp's renowned picture quality. The D44U series incorporates Sharp's Advanced Super View (ASV) LCD panel which delivers a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 7500:1 for exceptional detail. Enhanced Quick Shoot video circuitry ensures a fast pixel response time of 6 ms, for crisp images, even in fast-moving scenes. Wide 176-degree viewing angles on the D44U series enable users to view the picture from almost anywhere in the room. Inputs for the D44U AQUOS models include two HDMI, two component HD inputs and a D-sub 15-pin connector to use the TVs as big-screen PC monitors. The series features ATSC/NTSC and Clear QAM tuners, ensuring consumers will receive the full spectrum of HDTV programming. The high brightness displays (450 cd/m2) and Black TFT low-reflection coating allow for placement near bright light sources or windows without compromising picture quality.
