This team is now going to be playing in Oklahoma City as the Thunder. They have a young team which are led by Kevin Durant. They have a good history with players like Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, Dale Ellis, Spencer Haywood and a few others. They have one NBA Championship which they won in 1979 and they also have 3 conference titles the last one was in 1996 where they reach the playoffs only to lose to the Chicago Bulls. ....g. Metropolitan Bar & Grill - great steak and oysters. Or for spicier tastes, Fusion-asian and pacific rim dishes are prepared in restaurants like Wild Ginger on 3rd & Pike. However the city is like a ghost town after 10pm - seems that most Americans are tucked up in bed very early at night. Sports fans are well catered for within the city by the local teams. Seahawks Baseball have a great new stadium (our last company meeting was held in the grounds). Seattle SuperSonics basketball is well cool, though the tickets are quite pricey. My favourite though was the Washington Huskies college football team, unlike Pro-Football with padding and commercial overtones, the college game is more physical and captivating to watch. They lost Ray Allen, one of the best 3-point shooters, in the league when they traded him for four players, including Wally Szczerbiak, who will start for the Sonics as the Small Forward.
