Advantages Easy to fit, looks good, quite tall
Disadvantages Heavier than some
...The Eclipse is a Renaissance without the mod cons. It's a pretty standard child seat without any flash. It's very easy to fit with a 3 point seatbelt, and light enough to move between cars, although it's not as light as the Freeway or Priori.
It seems to fit most cars, but make sure it fits yours perfectly before buying!
The one thing I really don't like about it is the securing for the seatbelt...instead of a clip that would come down and hold the seatbelt secure, this one has little pressers, which although they work well enough, it doesn't take much to loosen off the seatbelt.
The SI version is exactly the same but with deeper side wings and base....

Review of Britax Freeway Seat by

taken from ciao.co.uk
Advantages Very light
Disadvantages A pain in the neck to fit
...This is just about the lightest first stage seat on the market! It's a very strong, sturdy seat though.
It's ideal for 3 door cars as it's so light, but it is a nuissance to fit. The seatbelt has a tendency to catch over the gap allowed for it which makes tightening it very difficult. Because the space allowed for the seat belt is so high up the back of the seat, I find that quite often, the base slides forward, slackening up the whole seat.
I'd only recommend this if it fitted the car perfectly in every other way, and you also bought a Mighty Tite which is a clever little gizmo which removes all the slack seatbelt, holding the childseat in very tightly.
Recline on this seat is also a nuissance. To recline it, you have to squeeze a flimsy little lever at the front of the seat and push the base away from the seat. It requires a lot...

Review of Bebe Confort Creatis by

taken from ciao.co.uk
Advantages Very safe and newborn lies quite flat too
Disadvantages Quite long so can be a squeeze in some cars
...if it was difficult. We had already tried the Prima Viaggio, Cosy Tot and Cosy Tot Isofix and the Creatis was clearly the easiest - mainly I suspect because you start with the seatbelt already fastened. Plonk the carseat on the car seat (does that make sense?) and clip the lap part of the seatbelt underneath. Then you pull it tight and pull some belt around the head of the seat and clip it in to one guide, pull and clip into second guide. No clipping seatbelts into buckles you cant see or threading miles of belt that keep retracting back. Really easy.
Once we had decided on the thing I was keen to know it was safe and did some digging on the internet. The BebeConfort stuff is widely tested in Germany and France so there were some good tests to read (try Creatis and test in Google, the translate option helps if your German is a bit shaky), it actually...
