Manufacturer's product description
The YS-350 is truly a professional quality underwater flash unit with more power, more features and more durability than any other flash. Guide number for this powerful strobe is 32 (land) with a 3-step power control (full, 1/2 and 1/4). An optional guide number controller is available providing 12-step power control (-1/3EV per step). Flash power is provided by a high-capacity nickel-cadmium battery pack that provides 120 full flashes per charge. With a fast recycle time of 4 seconds on full power there is almost no recycle time on TTL mode. Located in the center of the circular flash tube is a target light (Photo 1) that helps to position the flash on the subject and also works well as a light for night photography. Ready and TTL lamps are located on both sides of body (Photo 2). The ready and TTL lights are accompanied by audible tones so that the photographer never needs to take his eye off the subject (Photo 3). Its slave function enables cordless dual strobe photography. Light level can be selected among full (32), 1/2 (16) and 1/4 (8). Use of the accessory diffuser drops the light level by one full f-stop, giving 6-step power control. Optional guide number controller can control two YS-350 flash units separately in a dual strobe configuration. The controller will also work with digital camera systems in slave mode or connected by a sync cord.
