My boss bought it and only paid about 80 Euro, therefore 110US dollars.
The instructions are in English, French and Spanish. For me easy, because I speak English and Spanish every day. The users manual is clearly written and in no way confusive.

It is the most important that all cables are connected to the PC when installing the scanner to ... ...the program. A software, named HP Solution Center as well as this HP software image zone, are enclosed in the package. The CD must be inserted first. After that click on start and then attitude. I've had two of these same scanners, the first one I really really loved it; That baby would load fast and there wasn't a long waiting time in between loads; after several years of use though and I do mean a lot of USE, it eventually one day died on me, too much use...
They don't even carry this type of scanner anymore at Walmart I don't know about other retail stores but most things are the 3 in 1 you know printer, scanner, and fax machines now; ... ...a friend of mine had one but they had upgraded to the three in one
so I bought their scanner really cheap, now mind you this is the same product as my old one, but that scanner did not /DOES NOT run as good as my original first one; I still am using this model
and I will until it wears out but I'm just not as happy with it.

I work for a medical billing service I am the team leader for the scanning dept for this company. When I started working there about 7 yrs ago we were using this small scanner, at that time using the small scanners were ok but as the company grew in size so did the medical records & correspondence that needed to be scanned so the company decided to change the little scanners for the much larger ones that scan several hundred pages per mintue. I would ... ...if the image is not clear then immdeiately you can go back & adjust the image quality but with the larh=ger scanner I have to have my mangaer delete teh record then I have to re-scan the record .
We still use these scanners for the correspondence that needs to be scanned ...
