Nice simple scanner

Advantages: Quick, compact, easy to use
Disadvantages: Not good for large amounts of scanning.
I bought this scanner to replace an old clunker I'd had with my ancient computer. When I found that my old scanner wouldn't even work with Windows XP drivers, I found it was time to replace it.
I've been quite happy with this simple little scanner. It gets the job done! It's quick, which is a huge advantage over my old one, usually taking barely 20 seconds or so to scan a full page. It also has nice features such as backlight correction and removal ... ...very nice feature is that it can scan several small items, crop them, and rotate them properly in your scanning software. For example, you can toss several business cards on there, tell it to multi-scan, and then you'll end up with all the business cards scanned, rotated, and cropped into neat little images without you having to do all the work manually. You can use your own software with this (I use Adobe Photoshop CS3) or the software that is provided. ...
