Advantages: A delicious twist on a classic
Disadvantages: It's not diet food, but you can use low-fat ingredients.

...twist on the chicken salad sandwich that I particularly love. And the secret ingredient - Rotisserie Chicken - makes it oh so easy and fast. Curry Chicken Salad Sandwich Filling: 1 Rotisserie Chicken (found in the deli section of your supermarket) 1/4 cup Mayonnaise 1 tsp Curry Powder 1 tsp Honey (a nice big squeeze of the bottle) 1 tsp Lemon Juice (fresh is best) 3 Scallions/Green Onion, chopped 2 stalks Celery, chopped 1/4 cup Dried Cranberries ...

Elvis Presley peanut butter sandwich
Review of Sandwich Recipes by jtbull46

Advantages: Great tasting
Disadvantages: High fat content not very good for you

Since my Elvis festival made a friend hungry for one of these, I thought I would share the way I make Elvis Presley's famous peanut butter sandwiches. I use a slight twist in that I like jelly. WARNING!!! nothing that Elvis liked is very heart healthy. Things you will need 2 slices of bread per sandwich some peanut butter ( creamy ) to preference some jelly ( i use strawberry) some crisp bacon stips ( at least 2 or three) at least one half ...
...do is cook the bacon to get it extra crispy. This should usually be done hours or the day before. Put peanut butter on one side of the bread and jelly on the other. You can slice the banana but the best way to do it is to slightly mash it then put it on the jelly side. Next you put the bacon between the two pieces. After this what you will do is butter each side of the bread ( this can be hard so use soft butter) then grill on each side until golden ... Read review

Hearty Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Review of Sandwich Recipes by WiserChoices

Advantages: Great taste
Disadvantages: This is certainly not a low fat option!

One of my very favorite meals is tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. I like different varieties of grilled cheese and found this one to be very tasty! ...adds the twist 8 slices (1/4 pound) Colby cheese Cooking Instructions: Spread butter evenly on one side of each piece of whole grain bread. Lay American cheese slices and bacon equally over 4 slices of bread on the side without butter. Place Colby cheese slices on the bacon, and top with the remaining slices of bread, of course with the butter side out. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook sandwiches, two at a time, for approximately ... Read review
