A good griddle is very nice to have and almost essential for some of the things that I cook. This one has a very good temperature control and two cooking surfaces. One cooking surface is what you would find on a bbq type grill and the other is a flat grill. ...make lunch and recall that George Foreman was talking about making grilled cheese with this back in the day. So I deced to put my turkey club in this. I use bread, turkey, american, bacon, and tomato. I make it into a sandwich and then put it into the grill in sandwich form. It turned out very delicious. ...The item also has a bun warmer you can use at the top if you were going to cook a burger, it has room for two patties so you could make a double. I do not use the top as I found it gets the buns too dry. I think this is a better sandwich maker than many others.
