...The Z1085 is a 10.0-megapixel compact camera with a 5x optical zoom lens stabilized, a 2.5-inch LCD monitor and 230k options manuel, and is currently available directly from the website of Kodak 149.99 pounds , Even though it is so new that some other stores are offering yet. There are surprisingly few cameras that match this specification. Given its plastic body, AA batteries and zoom and a tempting comparison would be something of the Canon PowerShot A-series, as of 8 megapixels, 6x zoom A720 IS (£ 155), however it would be a better match the Panasonic DMC-LZ10 (£ 170) or the SamsungS1050 (£ 150).
The Z1085 is a fairly small camera, but it is certainly not ultra-compact. To accommodate the pair of AA batteries and 5x zoom lens, the plastic body measures 89.5 x 64.3 x 39 mm and a vacuum weighs 164g, 210g or more, including batteries...

Advantages Great Shots, Amazing optical zoom Disadvantages Batteries Length
...Great Camera ,Love the pics that i take... Only downside is battery length, alkaline batteries only last a couple of hours. Amazing optical zoom 5x. But in general is a great product.
Minimum shooting speed about 15 secs and max 1/2000 secs. It allows you to record short movies. SamsungS1050 has 45 Mb of internal memory that can be expanded con SD/MMC/SDHC card. The LCD screen implemented in the 1050 has 3.0 " diagonally.
I'm satisfy with my camera, it's a great price for 10.1 resolution, but it has some bad things to. Batteries again s a mayor issue! Rechargeable ones also last 'bout couple of hours. if you do buy this product you should try Nickel-cadmium batteries, maybe those will actually last a hole day....

Advantages Multiple settings for the best picture. Takes very high quality pictures for a standard digital camera Disadvantages No view finder so hard to take pictures using the screen in sunlight.
...This is a brilliant a point-and-shoot camera with 10.1 mega-pixel ability and 5x optical zoom lens, it is a good camera for beginner to intermediate photographers as the camera is very easy to use. It is powered by normal AA batteries which means you never run out of juice when out. The Samsung additional pack comes with 2 rechargeable batteries which gives you extra options. The only down side is they do run down very fast due to the 2.7" screen, so the rechargeable option is much more effective (but this is the same for all digital cameras).
One of its best features is its Face Recognition Technology, which detects your subject’s face and then automatically adjusts its focus and exposure to ensure the best composition and image quality for photo's featuring people; the result is a brilliant image quality. This is a brilliant feature...
