Like most of the people, i know the Shins from the movie Garden State, where Natalie Portman handles her Headphones to Zach Braff, telling him to listen to that wonderful Shins song... this song was calles "New Slang" and it's incredibly beautyful, like most of the Shins songs. Nowadays the Shins can be discribed as the most acclaimed American alternative rock band. There songs are sweet compositions, creative and at the same time wonderfully heartbreaking. ...
...develop before you can accept the beauty. Oh Inverted World (2001) was a solid alternative rock album and the band had the opportunity to show their talent. It's still a good introduction to the band and includes "New Slang" Chutes too narrow (2003) was a little festival of details.
