I have owned many crock pots. Cooking for a large family doesn't need to be a big job. I purchased this Rival crockpot about a year and a half ago. Besides the fact that the price was great, this is a really attractive appliance, with the crock being removable for serving purposes. I use my crockpot at least once a week. Just put a batch of spaghetti sauce in this morning. Pork chops and gravy is a family favorite. This crockpot holds six quarts which is big enough to feed the whole crew! The glass top and crock are both dishwasher safe. The handles on the outer heating unit stay cool. So easy to throw in all the ingredients and walk away. Perfect for soups, stews, roasts and meats of all kinds. Three heat settings of HIGH, LOW and WARM. Plus the pretty serving crock!
