Advantages: Get the entire full crisp sound in YOUR ear, and not bother others
Disadvantages: None

I remember when I first borrowed these headphones from a friend of mine... and in anticipation for a 3 week Australia trip I was taking that summer, knew these were the headphones I HAD to have... this was in 2001. You see all these bulky, ear-hugging so called great sounding headphones for the best portable performance... when it just isn't the case.
