Advantages: stable, reliable and fairly fast
Disadvantages: not fast enough for shooting raw in a dslr for action shots

Great product- very stable, fast for the average camera. Very good for day to day photographing situations. If you need something that is high speed and capable of taking pictures in a situation where you will taking several in a row, (especially if you are shooting in raw), or if you are shooting action shots like a soccer game, consider a faster one.
