My daughter freinds parents bought this kind of tv and it is cool. It is nice and big but the remote could be better than what it is. It does not take long to install at all and is very nice. The picture quality is not too bad. The sound comes out nice and clear and I really like it. when we go up there, we all sit around the tv and play games with the kids and enjoy nice family movies. I absolutely love this tv. Great picture as well. all my friends and family are impressed when they come over. Sound quality is not too bad. Sounds great through my Bose though.

Advantages: HD is stunning, lots of inputs: camera, computer, etc. Great price.
Disadvantages: Small "cheap" Remote control, big menu screen--you'll get over it though!

...to buy a new "tube", Philips is a good solid choice to go with; But the confusing arrangement of numbers and letters: 52PFL7422D LCD TV?-- Now that is the question! Overall, it is a great television experience for a good price. The picture quality in HD is breathtaking. Analog? So so. This TV allows you multiple hookups and USB for digital camera hookup....
