Advantages: Less water use, clothes look and stay like new, big money savings.
Disadvantages: No disadvantages at all.

I have this wonderful delight of a washing machine, and I can't imagine why I did not own one of these front loaders before this. The way that your clothes are cleaned by light tossing and gentle spray action is just amazing in itself. Not only do your clothes look like new and stay that way, the water savings alone justify the purchase of this fantastic machine.
