I purchased this particular product due to fact this brand has been purchased by my own mother and grandmother. A well known product and has been around for years. Features and appearances have changed somewhat through the years, but dependability is still the same. Well built and sturdy. Like various attachements available for other uses. Attachments sturdy and not flimsy. The power of the motor is great for even the thickest most dense batter or dough. The size of mixing bowls are perfect for double or triple batches. Alot ofpleople tend to buy the cheap mixers since they do not do much cooking. But as for my mother she had to have this type of mixer because she is usually always baking for someone. This mixer in Empire Red was placed underneath the Christmas tree by my sweet husband a few years ago. It is by far my favorite small kitchen appliance. I love it because not only is it beautiful, but its quality is unmatched. I have made everything from mashed potatoes, to pound cake and it is consistently impressive.

My mom had a Kitchen Aid mixer when I was growing up and she bought me one as a wedding shower present years ago! Since then I brought one for my sister and recently bough one for my best friend. Kitchen Aid mixers can handle large batches of dough for cookies, cakes, etc. The bread hook is excellent when it comes to kneading dough for loaves of bread or for pizza, and the wisk tool does a terrific job with egg whites and anything else that needs to really be whipped. These mixers are built tough to last and still look great on your counter!

As far as I am concerned this is the top of the line. I now have a blue one and if my house was one fire it would be one of the things I would save. I bake a lot so it sits on my counter ready to go. I mix dough for bread with it because I can no longer do it by hand and of course I don't want to nor need to, it does a better job. There is nothing I dislike about it.

This mixer is absolutely beautiful. The power this mixer has is unbelievable. I love the way that there is never a drop of dry ingredients left in the bottom of the bowl after mixing. This mixer came with a dough hook, and a paddle, and a whisk. The features are wonderful. The head tilts up. The shield around the bowl I would have to say is quite useless though. It does not fit correctly, and it is just in the way. It really serves no purpose. There are multiple attachments tghat can be bought for this mixer. I personally have the slicer/dicer attachment. I have not used this yet, but it looks interesting. I received this as a gift, so if I were to buy it with an attachment, I believe I would have gotten the meat grinder attachment. To any serious cook/baker out there, this is a MUST HAVE for your kitchen. Happy mixing!
