Advantages: widely-used, great way to connect with friends/colleagues
Disadvantages: lots of kinks in the integration with applications, difficult to navigate

I joined Facebook several years ago and barely used it. I only registered on Facebook as my best friend wanted to share some photo's she took of my wedding in New York. I registered and looked at the photo's and pretty much left it at that!! I am not really all that into Facebook. It did not appeal to me at all. You can add friends but there is not many ways you can be create with your page. This site is a so-so site. I guess if you are not into the MySpace craze then this would be an okay place to meet new people and look up old friends. I wish it had more ways to add color and character to your profile. I'm not too impressed with FaceBook. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I have been a member of MySpace for over 4 years now and I just recently joined FaceBook, but it doesn't do anything for me. I have found facebook to be a somewhat helpful tool in terms of located long friends and classmates. I am currently working with a group to try and locate members of my 1983 graduating class. I have used both facebook and myspace for this endeavor and found that the facebook seems to be doing a little better in terms of finding others. I have both a facebook account and a myspace account and I have to admit that I rarely log onto facebook. I love the applications that facebook uses because you really get involved in the community and meet new people. It's a lot of fun but It just seems less personal to me. I come across this web site by accident a while ago. My step kids even have a profile on this site. It is kind of cool just very simple looking or I think it is. You can do the same as some other sites and keep in touch with others and even make new friends. I can even find some friends that I have not talked to in years on this site. This is a nice little website that you and others may like to visit and set you up a profile. You can do lots of things on the website but it does not have many graphics at all.
