Advantages: Plays almoust everything on a Disk
Disadvantages: warranty ends at 90

...possible at the same time. Coby DVD-244 is up to the challenge, and is doing well if "in a long term" is not your top priority. You would almost think yourself if this is a CD-ROM drive when you see this little gizmo comes out of the box. But then that thought will soon be changed by the full function remote at the bottom of the box. This is agreat dvd player to have and is very cheap too. It want break you to even buy it. It has a really good picture and a very nice sound. It does ot have many features on the front of thedvd player. The remote is great though and it has lots of features and functions on the remote. It is really light to carry around. cheap and plays good

Advantages: cheap, picture, sound, light, easy to install
Disadvantages: none

This dvd player is ok to have in your home. It does not have so many features or functions on the front and is not unique looking. Just real simple. It does have a very nice looking remote that works really good and the batteries do last a while in it before they need new ones. It plays my dvds very good with the nice graphics and the sound quality. I have not yet had any problems out of it either. It is very light to pick up or even to carry to another ... Read review

Advantages: never had any problems
Disadvantages: nothing

I bought this kind of dvd player because it was so cheap. The look is ok but not the best in the world. But it has a nice remote that comes with it that is very easy to use. The dvd player has not many buttons on it but is simple to use. It shows some nice quality pictures though. The sound comes out nicely. Quick review of COBY DVD-224

I am on my second one. The first one lasted about a month. I returned it and brought home another one. I have had the second one for about a month now . I am online now looking for another brand because I was just in the middle of watching a movie and the same exact thing happend with this one. It started making a funny noise and the movie froze. I turned the power off. Let it set for a few minutes. Tried to turn it back on and it will not even power on.

I have purchased a few of these kind of dvd players in the past and they work really good for the price. The play the movies with a nice and clear picture and the sound is good too. It has some nice featers to use for the dvd player. It plays every kind of dvd there is to play in it. Quick review of COBY DVD-224 Review of COBY DVD-224 by leapingfrog2001 I had this and it only lasted a year and then it died. Better off buying a bigger name brand DVD player. The quality of the sound and pictures was great but it should have lasted longer than it did. The button was convenient and worked well. The color compliments my other electronics but it would be better if they had it in black also. Coby being an off brand is not good and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you want to have to replace it in a year which is a rip off when you pay $60 for something and expect it to last longer than a year.
