Unboxing my iPod Touch 16GB 1st generation was quite an unforgettable experience as it made me think this could be my best iPod ever - or my best mp3 player ever! The iPod Touch bears a lot of differences from my previous iPods (iPod mini, iPod U2 Video 5.5 generation). First, upon unboxing it , you will immediately find out that playing and navigating its menus isn't possible as it will prompt you to connect it to your computer. The looks? Sexy, ...
...and smoothly navigating its menu and staring at its touch-sensitive screen was indeed an inexplicable high! Aesthetically, this iPod is a winner! Complaints? The back part is a scratch magnet like the previous iPod Videos and current iPod Classics, so applying a protector on it is recommended. Oh, and by the way, applying a screen protector is a must. I owned this stuff right here and my overall impression is, yeah, it's a nice one. Most people will find it quite expensive, I can agree on that, even I got this player for free when I bought my Macbook. ...touch is well touch! And Apple does a very good job with it. I found it to be very responsive and have no issues with it. The keyboard will take some getting used to though. I will say that if you have big fingers the touch might not be for you. Not all has been perfect with the touch though. I have one major gripe. At times when I am in an application say just listen to music, using safari, or just using Google maps, out of nowhere I will get kicked ...
...if it's just too much data being received at once of what. It just kicks me out to the home screen and doesn't give me a message, and I just have to go back to the app again. Using the same technology found in the iPhone, scrolling has never been easier - you won't miss your click wheel at all! Boasting a gorgeous large colour screen, watching video on the move has never been this good. The music still sounds as good as ever, however the supplied apple earphones to leave to a bit to be desired. This problem can however be overcome with a simple upgrade of the earphones, allowing you to use your device to it's full potential. One new feature this iPod brings is it's wifi connectivity. ...its hard to write a review of a product like the Ipod touch, because every one of you have read everything about it somewhere else. I have to say that Ipod touch is simply something I've fallen in love with and find myself addicted to. I saw it in the Apple store before Christmas and I said to myself that this would be my next purchase. After pestering my parents, I got it for Xmas and they bought one for my sister as well (she is not into electronics) - she loved it almost as much as me and I've never seen her use her old MP3 player anywhere near as much as this. It is quite like the Iphone with the touch screen and you can do that pinch and zoom thing as well which i really like.
