Are you one of those people that have lost a remote , one time or another? Have you tried to keep up with the remote for your T.V., your movie player, or your cable? Well, I have and I have failed miserably at it. Thus leading me to this compact device remote.

I hate clutter, so I am a fan of any device that helps simplify your life. I haven't had to touch my other remotes since I programmed this one - a big plus in my opinion. My only complaint is that the remote is a little "sensitive" - you have to keep the remote pointed at all the systems for about 10 seconds so that it can turn on all the devices. While this doesn't sound like a long time, it's an eternity to stand there holding a device still so ...

...this remote control for my Nikon D40x, which according to the man in the shop it is the only one available for the my camera. Long gone are the days of physical remote shutter releases, modern ones like this one are infra-red. The ML L3 is Nikon only.
As you can see from the pictures, it is very small, works outside fine and has a decent range. One thing I particularly like is the way the Nikon uses it, you can set it to release the shutter instantly, ... ...a picture rather than risk moving the camera as I press the shutter release on the body.
