I hate clutter, so I am a fan of any device that helps simplify your life. I haven't had to touch my other remotes since I programmed this one - a big plus in my opinion. My only complaint is that the remote is a little "sensitive" - you have to keep the remote pointed at all the systems for about 10 seconds so that it can turn on all the devices.
