thrillerRed-Eye, turning it into an above-average potboiler that makes the most of its 85 tension-packed minutes. That's a perfect running time for a movie like this, in which a resourceful heroine Lisa (Rachel McAdams, the breakout star of 2005) is trapped on a red-eye flight with creepy villain Jackson Rippner (Cillian Murphy, even more menacing than he was as the Scarecrow inBatman Begins) who's playing middle-man in the plot to assassinate a Homeland Security official. He's got her father pinned down by a would-be killer, using that advantage to coerce Lisa into phoning the luxury resort where she works and arranging to move the target into a pre-set position. It's a situation from which there is seemingly no escape, but of course Craven and screenwriter Carl Ellsworth find a way to milk the suspenseful dilemma for all it's worth, even managing to wedge in a few intriguing character details to enhance the fast-moving plot. It's still a B-movie, but it's tightly constructed and well-executed by Craven, whose previous films made him a perfect choice to maximize all thatRed-Eyehas to offer.--Jeff Shannon

Advantages: Strong Character Performances; thrilling Disadvantages: none
...Lisa is catching the red eye, night flight back to Miami after attending her Grandmother's funeral. She meets Ripner, a charming man which later on becomes her seat mate on the plane. After initial discourses, Ripner revealed he is a terrorist and that she must cooperate with them if he wants her father to live. So it turned out that Lisa works as a booking officer for Lux Atlanta Hotel and that they're targeting the Deputy Secretary of Homeland ... ...MY OPINION:
Red Eye is indeed another suspense thriller film, but unlike other films, this doesn't utilize any decapitation and hard-core gore. The film centers on Lisa trying every means of outwitting Jackson thousands of feet in the air. The film did a good job of maximizing the resources on a plane-setting. While the materials may be limited, it nonetheless was effective in delivering a thrilling effect. The characters' performances were highly ...

Red Eye is a good movie and it really thrilled me. It wasn't any usual movie for me and I love the setting of the story which was inside the plane. The actors and actresses played their roles very well so I never got bored watching it. This movie made me love Rachel McAdams more.
We also learn a lot from this movie. It shows that we should know which to choose and we should learn to fight back for what is good and for those we ...

Advantages: full of suspense, edge-of-your-seat, captivating performance Disadvantages: the end part is anti-climactic
This movie is a thrill ride, and most of the scenes were on a plane! The basic plot involves a girl (Lisa, played by Rachel McAdams) who got something unexpected when she was on a "red eye" flight to get back to work (after attending a family funeral). Before boarding, she met a guy named Jackson (Cillian Murphy), for whom the chemistry between them is undeniable. Fast forward to a few minutes and this Jackson guy is seated right next to her on the ... ...do what he instructed (which was to order the moving of a political family from their hotel suite, to an area where they would be assassinated), her father would be killed. Knowing that the guy was no ordinary hired assassin but a real professional, Lisa had to muster the courage to outwit him and to use her organization skills to her advantage.
The scenes are "edge-of-your-seat" kind and the acting is very impressive. I just had a bit of a problem ...
