The RCA Opal, as it's called is, overall, a fairly decent mp3 player. It records sound. It's own sound is clear and vibrant, it's menus are easy to read and navigate, and it's capacity for storing your favorite songs, e-books, pictures, and videos is amazing. However, a small problem arises with the forward and back features, as well as the volume controls, all being on the same button. Often, when I try to turn the volume up, It will skip to the next song, or vice versa. That is just annoying! The added feature of the hold button is a necessity, because it is easy to jar this thing and accidentally hit a button that you did not intend to hit. Another thing to keep in mind when you charge this thing is to let it charge completely the first time, for that controls the life of each charge thereafter.
