MAXIMUM RANCID
Review of Rancid by
punkix
Advantages: greaet music, great lyrics, not posers
Disadvantages: none
By far one of the best US based punk bands in the history of punk! They have been on the raod and on the scens for more than 10 years. PUNK is deeply rooted in their music and as well as influences, they have also made their own record label, released records and made side projects with bands with the same roots. They are not just punks but punks with brains. Their business characteristics are by far as good as their music and lyrics. This is the ...

Review of Fall Out Boy by
mamasidshaun

...that Jay-Z also writes for them now and that I find it hard to accept because I see the bad results that comes out from Fall Out Boy's current composition. What a waste fo such great talent and substance. I miss the sincere earlier days of this once worthy group. ...

Punk in Drublic
Review of NOFX by
Mchavez11
Advantages: All albums are good
Disadvantages: Hard to find cds
NOFX is an absolute American Punk. Musically, they have somehow managed to infuse ska, a bit jazz and funk to their fast pop punk core style. Though I remember that's just only one album. Nevertheless, Fat Mike and the rest of the guys still managed to survive and excel just by running and managing their own band. They made the mainstream looked helpless and useless by consistently turning them down. NOFX also led the Anti-Bush campaign for the punk ... ...reached further heights that you can never imagine. Come to think of it that their under an indie label but still managed to survive musically and financially. That's what I call "Do-it-Yourself" successful attitude or the ever popular punk term D.I.Y. Buy and treasure all of their albums. Dissect their lyrics and enjoy the fast sound of NOFX. Support the true music scene. Punks Not Dead! ...

Nevermind the Lyrics, Here's the Money!
Review of Fall Out Boy by
Mchavez11
Advantages: Their previous albums
Disadvantages: Their current stature
Fall Out Boy emerged from the underground pop-punk scene in the early 2002. They were under the neat label "Fueled By Ramen". This band used to write great songs that can be anthemic for an entire generation if it wasn't for the awful poison of the media and the overblown MTV. I remember the first time I heard their song "Grand Theft Autumn", it just blew me away. The arrangement, riffs and power pop vocals of Patrick Stump with the excellent songwriting ... ...the ruthless un-artistic mainstream media. Fall Out Boy's songs gone sweet to sour. It lost its touch, the lyrics became to shallow in order for the mainstream to sell it quickly as possible. Nevermind the content, here'e the money! For instance, the song "Thanks for the Memories" (if this is the title) just plainly stinks beyond depth. You can even play it next to an "Avril Lavigne" song without noticing the difference. Compared to their previous ...
