...to be useful yet, you do not get the convience of electric, you have to manually chop. It does do a few things though, -keeps all you chop in a neat place -keeps smelly onions away from fingers -easy clean up(watch the chopping blades, will cut) -easier than hand cutting(works wrist and palms of hands, not fingers) The size of pieces of vegetables would be half an medium onion, one small tomatoe, etc, that you could start with.
