Very handy appliance. I prefer to use an electric kettle over a standard stove top kettle for three reasons.
Firstly, it shuts off on its own as soon as the water comes to a complete boil.I never have to worry about forgetting about it and returning to find my water evaporated and the bottom of my kettle turning black (believe its happened!). Also, I dont feel the pressure to jump up and shut it off immediately to end that slightly obnoxious whistling. Instead, this electric kettle simply turns itself off with a audible "click" to alert you its done.
Secondly, it can be plugged into any outlet. Ever made dinner and want a cup of tea afterwards, only to have to stop to clear off the stove to find a free burner for your kettle? With this, you can simply plug it into any free outlet.
Thirdly, the inside stays cleaner than my stove-top kettle. Lime scales do not build up, so there is never any scrubbing!
This kettle does exactly what it says it will do. No problems, build sturdy, and no hassle.
