This processor packs a mean punch in it. It is perfect for creating that powerful and compact server, but still is energy efficient.
The the workstations, at least for our building at uni uses this processor. The guy who was in charge of it said it's got a large memory cache, that's 6 MB (2 x 3MB) because of its Core Duo. I still don't really get it though.
Never mind.
And the other reason is, it's also got a 3 year warranty for service/support ...

AMD processors are really awesome.
I have laptop with AMD 64 Athlon X2. The features of AMD processors are unique. I can install the Operating Systems and other heavy software like CorelDraw easily and comfortably with minimum time.
