Prison Break is an American action and drama television series about two brothers whose lives are about to change because of the greatest political conspiracy ever. Season 1 starts with Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), the elder brother being captured for the murder of the brother of the Vice -President of the United States of America. Enter Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), the genius younger brother who robs a bank to help his brother get out of prison. Together with Sucre (Amaure Nolasco), T-Bag (Robert Knepper), C-Note (Rockbar Dunbar), Abruzzi (Peter Stormare), and two others, they plot to escape Fox River Penitentiary. Having the advantage of designing the structure of the building, Michael imprints the structural design in his body, by way of tattoos. And indeed, with so many obstacles in their way, they were able to escape in the season's finale.
Prison Break is an all-around television series. A little bit of everything, action, drama, romance, comedy, and thriller. The plot was well-crafted and the fact that in every episode, a new obstacle surfaces keeps you glued to the television. The obstacles they face are all plausible and Michael's way of solving the problems one by one is really very impressive. The actors portrayals are very effective, from Wentworth who I see as the boy genius behind the scheme, to Purcell's role as the disturbed brother who was accused of a crime he didn't commit, to Knepper's portrayal of T-Bag the streetwise inmate, to Nolasco's Sucre character who also has his issues. The love angle between Scofield and Dr. Tancredi added spice to the series. All in all, I watched the whole season in one sitting, and I urge you to do the same. It will keep you glued in your seats. And will leave you asking for more. Don't worry they're now on their fourth season and the series is still hot as ever.
