It is a scanner, it prints your regular papers and it can print pictures, and I don't mean just regular pictures I mean actual photos on the right kind of paper. We use this printer in the office where I work. I have not had any problem out of it. It hardly ever jams and works when you need it to. It is a large copier so you will need to make room to place it somewhere. However, for a printer that has as many functions as this one does, I cannot blame it for being big.
