As laser printers go it has a smallish footprint but HP (as an alternative) do offer similar sized laser printers. I have to admit that it seems to have improved with age, as I get far fewer jams nowadays compared to the first 2 years of use. (Glossy, standard, photo, etc.) One downside to this printer is that you cannot use off-brand cartridges with it, nor can you refill the ones it has. The HP Officejet 7310 is an all-in-one colour printer, scanner, copier and fax machine. With built in networking capabilities so that multiple users can access it's a pretty good all rounder. We got this one for free from grandma who thought it was broken. Wifeys uncle tried to fix but he could not get the job done. Turns out that the feed tray thing on the back was popped off a bit and feeding paper crooked. We told wifes dad, but he had already bought grandma a new printer so we got to keep it.
