We purchased the Oki c9600hdn in December '06 with an additional 500 sheet tray. The hdn model comes with a duplexer, hard drive and 10/100 ethernet and I must say that this thing is a rock solid performer that will never let you down. After running it through approximately 500,000 pages, the output and speed have not degraded at all. Its performance is virtually matchless.
For speed and color photos, I compared it with an Epson StylusPro 1280 inkjet ... ...production system.
The Oki blasted out the 10 megapixel image on 11x17 paper in 12 seconds including a 10 second warm up time from sleep mode while the Toshiba used up an entire 30 seconds from warming up and aligning the image drums. It took another 10 seconds for it to actually print and what came out was a very miscolored representation of the original photo. ...the same pics on the Canon iP4500. The print quality is the same. The only way I could tell which was which was by the watermark on the back of the photo paper.
Duplex Printing - this feature was a must for me. Why waste paper....I print a lot of multi-page documents (emails) and I get tired of wasting paper. The printer also prints on two sided photo paper without swearing the print.
PRICE - It's hard to believe this printer is less than $150!! ...

...day I have purchased the HP DeskJet 1280 printer, I have really stopped using my previous printers.
I have found this HP DeskJet 1280 printer much ahead of some others in the same range, in performance. Another good feature of this printer is that now I can print up to A3 size papers.
I found the print to be excellent.
I also feel that the printer is affordable in price and the ink cartridges are also economical, seeing the mileage or the number ... ...the appearance is also sleek.
I printed a few photographs on photo paper and found the colour printing to be very good too. The printer neither produces too much operating sound nor consumes a lot of electricity.
It is a long time now that I am using the printer regularly, but till date, not at all felt the need of getting it serviced. The printer is still delivering crisp prints, as ever before.

I have been using Hp deskjet 1280 for around more than a year now almost {i think}. The only time when my product wasn't working was during the service time of the printer, that too lasted only for an hour.
Believe me, the printer is very very versatile. The maximum size of printer paper that can be put is universal A3 size. The printing quality is very crisp and the color quality is just too good. The printer gives out color prints in almost less ... ...pretty cheap which comes at around 2000 rupees that is around 42$. The servicing of the printer takes very less time and the printer has a warranty of around a year.
The overall efficiency of the printer is too good and the printer works almost on everything, ranging from networks to usb cords, without any glitches. ...
