We bought this portable DVD player for our kids a couple of years ago because we were going to a lot of doctor's appointments and such. It is ok, but I wouldn't rate it great. The sound quality could be way better. The volume starts to crack when increased even the slightest. So it has to be kept on low volume and for that reason you have to be very close to it to hear it. ...fact that when using the option of the zoom feature it leaves a little box and a X2 in the corner of the screen while playing the movie. It doesn't look like it would be a bother but on a 7" screen it is. We ended up getting another one free from another company for starting service with them, and we like that one much better. ... This Toshiba for me was a good buy, it has a cheap price tag ( a huge perk) and it dose have a great picture. sound quality is excellent! i dont always just used it for dvd i also use it to listen to my cds. so having a good sound is very big for me.
